CMCA Mentor Guide

Use this Guide to seek out those Clerks who are known to have extensive experience in the fields listed.  The Guide also gives you other information that may help you put the advice into context, such as population, Home Rule/Statutory status, and geographical location.  An answer from a Home Rule Clerk may not apply to a statutory municipality, and vice versa.

Colorado Association for Municipal Court Administration

This site provides information about CAMCA, the members, a calendar of events, past and present newsletters, and links to other court associated programs.

Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division
This site provides applications and forms, and rules and regulations relative to liquor licenses and permits and answers frequently asked questions. It also provides a link to other state agencies.

Colorado Municipal League
The Colorado Municipal League has served and supported the state's cities and towns since 1923, representing more than 99 percent of Colorado's municipal population. Located near the State Capitol in downtown Denver, CML is an influential advocate of municipal interests on state and federal issues. The League is also a reliable source of information for elected municipal officials and their staffs.

Continuing Education and Professional Development

The Colorado Municipal Clerks Association's purpose is to educate municipal clerks and promote a better understanding of the functions and duties of the clerk's office. This document lists opportunities and resources for continuing education offered by CMCA and other professional organizations. 

Secretary of State
The Secretary of State is the Election Official for the State of Colorado. She issues licenses for notary publics, businesses, bingo/raffles, charitable solicitation and non-profit organization.
